Genre - Dark romance
The book follows Adeline Reily, an author living alone in her inherited haunted manor. Upon moving in, she uncovers a disturbing revelation – her great-grandmother was murdered in the same house, and the killer was never apprehended. To add to her unease, Addie realizes that she shares eerie similarities with her deceased grandmother, including having a stalker.
As Addie delves deeper into her family's history through her great-grandmother's journals, she discovers that someone has been closely watching her both inside and outside the house. The relentless stalker refuses to let her escape, and as she learns more from the journals, she begins to fear that history might be repeating itself.
Zade Meadows, gifted hacker, vigilante and Adeline's stalker. He doesn’t try to hide the fact that he’s obsessed with her and Addie never makes light of how their relationship started. Zade is not a good person when it comes to Addie. If you’re looking for a traditional romance, this is not it and not the one for you. However, I genuinely liked Zade and Addie with each other. He brought out her sassy personality and she never shied away from putting him in his place. As for the chemistry between the two, it was off the charts. Things between Zade and Addie were dark, kinky, and extremely sexy.
