PMO & Project Management through a Juggler's Eye: Part-1

PMO & Project Management through a Juggler's Eye: Part-1

Heya readers!
Today, I read a totally different book- Envisioning PMO & Project Management through a Juggler's Eye: Part-1 that is based on PMO (Project Management Office).
Firstly, let me tell you about PMO in brief.
A Project Management Office, abbreviated to PMO, a group or department in an enterprise that establishes and implements best practices and maintains standards related to project management, planning and execution. The PMO strives to standardize and introduce economies of repetition in the execution of projects. The PMO also serves as an organization's central hub for project documentation, guidance and success metrics.
I read about this for the very first time and enjoyed it a lot.
Author has discussed his life experiences to make the reader understand about what he is talking. This is not a fiction which I love the most but Author seems to have worked very much hard for this book. He has even discussed the questions he asked in the brainstorming session.
He has discussed about the domain of work, which is usually what a PMO does including Standards, methodologies and processes.
It tells a lot about Project/program delivery management, Portfolio management, Talent management, Governance & performance management.
Various topics that I liked:
•Hybrid Project management
•How to set up a PMO
•What are the responsibilities of a PMO
•About the teams of PMO
•KPI (key performance indicator)
•Difference between PMO and EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office)
He has also discussed few things that every Project manager must know which include COMMON PROJECT MANAGEMENT MISTAKES, TIPS FOR MANAGING THE PROJECT BUDGET, ETC.
Author has tried his best to make the reader understand each and every line written in the book. He has shared some tables, flowcharts and even mind maps to help the reader.
Envisioning PMO & Project Management through a Juggler's Eye: Part-1 is the 3rd book of @author_abhishek
His first book — The Book of Powerful & Exceptional Quotes
His Second book – Stereotypical Leadership
I wish him good luck for his future endeavours:)
