Twisted Love is the first book in the Twisted series. Its also my first encounter with Ana Huang's writing and I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
The story follows our sweet & shy heroine, Ava Chen who has known the icy, hot & grumpy billionaire Alex Volkov for a long time because he happens to be her brother's best friend. One day when she gets stranded, her brother arranges for Alex to pick her up, which sparks their romance.
When Ava's brother moved out of the country, and Alex has moved in next door, she is in need of protectionβat times, even from herself.
Ava isn't too fond of Alex because he is rude and domineering, but she feels that there is more to him than just brash alpha arrogance, and she is determined to show that he is capable of being a human. As Ava goes about trying to get a reaction out of Alex, there is a chemistry that builds between them.
She and Alex are aware of how dangerous their romantic relationship can be. But she is also aware that their relationship is taking a turn that neither of them expected. More secrets are accumulating around Alex and Ava as their relationship slowly blossoms, and when those secrets are finally revealed, they could pose a threat to everything they value most. Richness and depth seeped through the pages of the story, making it very enjoyable in every way possible.
