Tristan Motteram was born in Wigan, England, in 1986. He joined the Army at the age of 19, before leaving to settle down in Cheltenham, England. There he met his wife, Helen, with whom he shared a love of animals. It was after Helen brought home a scruffy little bird that he had the idea to rediscover his passion for writing, creating a children's book based on this new addition to their family (initially as a gift to his wife, the adopting 'mother' of Russell Crow, the rook). This sparked another book and soon the idea for a series was born - a series which simply had to be published and shared...

Sophie Louise Bishop is an illustration graduate from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Sophie is currently residing in the joyous, creative city of Brighton and Hove. She is heavily influenced by children's illustration and has a very diverse style. Her favourite subject to draw is animals due to how varied and interesting the animal kingdom is. With a quirky sense of humour and an open-minded approach to her work... Sophie's main aim is to create art that makes people smile. Sophie enjoys experimenting with various creative styles and techniques. Since obtaining her degree in illustration, Sophie has developed various projects and worked on many commissions including album artwork, greeting cards and a series of books.
